SOLD

This BMW 309 Tourer was delivered to Daimler-Benz in Berlin on May 27th 1935, Daimler-Benz ordered 97 - 309’s (until the mid 1930s Daimler-Benz dealers also sold BMW cars). The body of the car was purchased from Mr. Dor in New York in 1990. The matching frame was purchased in the later 1990's from a Mr. Sanders in North Carolina. Smith restored it in 1999 with exception of a missing top. The car features a more robust industrial BMW engine, crank out windshield and interesting back seat hand holds.
